Blog Post #11

Well, let me start off with describing the crappy weekend and beginning of this week that i had last week. Last week, we ordered new internet service but it failed and didnt work. So i was in a really but i mean really bad mood. then we had the tech guy come and fix our internet and it was a cable that was plugged into the wrong place so i felt pretty stupid. Then on Monday after i get home from work, i recieved a letter from the CSAC stating that i am no longer eligible for my grant but what pissed me off the most was that they disqualified me from one day to another. Then on top of all this going on, i took the exam for 302a and i felt like i did good but lets see what happens. So im hoping that the CSAC will overturn and review my financial paperwork again and that i pass 302a and that ill have a better week. But one thing did make me happy, Obama won so i guess it makes up for the rest of everything else that is going on!!!

I can see where some people come from with that "popular" music can be dangerous because of the lyrics that are in it but it is not necessarliy the lyrics that cause bad influences. Its depends with the values you are raised with and how your parents have you as. Therefore i don't believe it has a positive or negative influence on people due to what your values are. If you are raised in a traditional family, and are expected to follow cerain values and morals but dont it is your choice. Music should not influence you, it is you who has the choice and morals conscience to do what is right not what anyone else states in thier music

it is very true what Aeschylus' statement states that in war the first casuality is the truth. usually when a war occurs we as citizens of the united states look at who to blame but dont explore the truth about what was the real cause... in the censorship comment, we should not censor war images or any other type of media that does that... we must let people see what our wars are causing others.. it is better to know the truth than to hide it... if is is censored it will still be recovered some other way... therefore there should be no censorship of war!!!!

if it was my case to handle a parent like Vicky, i would be firms and honest with what i believed about the banning of the textbook. What can one find offensive in an eduactional book?... Come on can't vicky just reason before she can complain or think about banning a school book. I would reason at first and explain the if ther information is ommited then his/her child would not learn the material needed to be successful in life. If she would understand then she could deal with the principal to see what happens
